I hesitated before having surgery in Turkey for a colostomy. Between the very long waiting lists in my country and my many questions, the decision was not an easy one. In the end, I went through with it. The journey was exhausting, especially given my state of health, but everything went well once I was there. Like many people facing this kind of procedure, I was very stressed before the operation. It’s a major surgery. I want to thank my coordinator, Emily, who was there for me. She always responded quickly to my messages, took the time to reassure me, and handled all the arrangements for my stay and hospitalization. At the American clinic, I found a clean, modern, and well-organized environment. The surgeon and the medical team took the time to explain the course of the operation and the postoperative care.
