A Foundation Built on Military Discipline

Dr. Ergin Er's journey begins far from the private clinics of Istanbul. A graduate of the Gülhane Military Medical Academy in Ankara in 1992, he began his career as chief military physician at the Turkish Naval School in Istanbul, from 1993 to 1996. This experience instilled in him an operational discipline and risk management approach that would remain constants throughout his career.

From 1996 to 2001, he completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Gülhane Military Academy, complemented by a microsurgery course in 2000-2001 at the same institution. Upon completing his residency, he took over as director of the Gülhane Military Burns Center, a position he held until 2002. It was there that he faced the most complex cases, those where reconstructive surgery is not an aesthetic choice but a vital necessity.

Houston, New York, and International Exposure

In 2002, he traveled to New York to complete a facial aesthetic surgery training program at the Manhattan ENT Center. The following year marked a decisive turning point: from 2003 to 2004, he joined the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, one of the most respected medical institutions in the world, as a postdoctoral researcher. This American experience gave him access to the most advanced techniques and allowed him to build connections within the international surgical community.

In 2004, still in California, he completed his training with the Klein Tumescent Liposuction Course in San Juan Capistrano.

Awards and Scientific Recognition

Dr. Ergin Er is not only a practitioner; he has contributed to research in his field. Among his distinctions:

A Dense Clinical Journey Before Private Practice

After returning from the United States, he practiced successively at the Transmed Clinic in Istanbul, Kasımpaşa Naval Hospital, Memorial Hospital Istanbul between 2006 and 2008, and then Anatomica Hospital. In 2012, he founded the Istanbul Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center in Şişli, Istanbul, where he practices today.

Over 10,000 Procedures

Throughout his career, Dr. Ergin Er has performed more than 10,000 aesthetic procedures. His areas of expertise include rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, breast augmentation and reduction, liposuction, hair transplantation, and facial rejuvenation surgery.

He is a member of several international scientific organizations, including ISHRS, ESHRS (European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery), and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
