Dr. Gülsüm Çebi is a plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon at Memorial Şişli Hospital in Istanbul. Born in 1984 in Trabzon, she has built a rigorous training background combining years of specialization in Turkey with international clinical experience in Asia and Europe. She speaks Turkish and English.
Dr. Çebi completed her medical studies at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine from 2002 to 2008. From 2008 to 2009, she undertook anatomy training at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine as a research assistant. From 2009 to 2015, she completed her residency in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery at Cerrahpaşa University Istanbul Çapa Medical Faculty, simultaneously serving as a research assistant at the same faculty.
In April 2015, upon completing her residency, she received the EBOPRAS (European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) Certificate, a benchmark European recognition for plastic surgeons. She also holds a certificate for the use of experimental animals in research from Istanbul University.
As part of her professional development, Dr. Çebi gained clinical experience at two world-renowned institutions. At the Department of Plastic Reconstructive Microsurgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, one of Asia's most prestigious centers for plastic microsurgery. And at the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in Scotland, a leading British center for reconstructive plastic surgery.
Following her residency in 2015, she practiced as a plastic surgery specialist at Kırklareli State Hospital (2015-2018), then at Trabzon Kanuni Education and Research Hospital (2018-2019). Since 2019, she has been a specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery at Memorial Şişli Hospital in Istanbul, where she has performed over 900 procedures throughout her career.
She has supplemented her training with specialized courses, including the 6th TPRCD School of Plastic Surgery Course (2013), the RMCD XIX Basic Microsurgery Course (January 2014), and a rhinoplasty course from the Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association (2014).
Her practice covers skin diseases (including head and neck skin cancers), cleft lip and palate, burns, breast surgery (reconstruction following breast cancer), rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty, as well as non-surgical treatments (fillers, PRP hair therapy, chemical peeling, dermapen, micropigmentation). She is an active member of the Turkish Emergency Hand Surgery and Microsurgery Association.
