I admit I had quite a few apprehensions before I left. The surgery wasn't easy for me, but I was well supported from start to finish. Emily and her team were there from the moment I arrived and accompanied me throughout the stay. The translator was present at my appointments and at the hospital, which reassured me a lot and allowed me to fully understand the conversations with the doctors. Transfers between the airport, the hotel and the hospital were also arranged, so I didn't have to deal with the logistics. At Acıbadem Hospital, the surgeon had reviewed my file before my arrival and took the time to explain the procedure to me. The team was caring, the room was clean, and I was well looked after during my hospitalization. I stayed a few days in the hospital, then spent a bit more time in Istanbul for follow-up before returning home. Despite a surgery that wasn't easy, I'm glad I was so well supported.
